Smart.FM gives users a new, better way to learn almost anything. The site is focused on providing users with helpful tools to expand knowledge and education. Smart.FM tells users what to study and when to study it. In August of 2007, a unique learning tool called iKnow! was introduced to the internet. In March of 2009, that tool was renamed Smart.FM. Smart.FM was created by Tokyo based Cerego Japan, Inc. As the user progresses, Smart.FM measures how they do and makes any necessary adjustments so the user is always right where they need to be to retain maximum information from their studies.

The Smart.FM website offers users an ideal environment to learn. The blue and green color scheme creates a pleasant atmosphere that encourages users to check out what Smart.FM can do for their minds. A new visitor catches a glimpse of what they can learn through featured goals posted on the homepage. The Smart.FM interface is very easy to use and clearly breaks down each element of the lesson so the user can quickly see what they need and learn from it. The site challenges users through learning and information rather than through navigation and layout.

A new user can create a Smart.FM account by clicking on the white “Sign Up” link at the top right hand corner of the homepage. The user can login using Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter or MySpace. There is also a traditional registration form that asks for a username, email address and password. After entering the information, the user can click on the blue “Signup” button found just below the form. After submitting the information, the user is directed to their profile and can begin accessing Smart.FM features.

One of the other interesting aspects of Smart.FM is the price. Anyone can create an account and use Smart.FM for free. There are no costs and no premium paid account listed on the site as of yet. This is due, in part, to the fact that the user community creates content for others to access. Anyone who choosing an existing goal is using content added by another user. This format works really well because users can benefit from their collective knowledge and Smart.FM offers its services for free.
